The Oklahoma City Thunder got their first NBA victory as a franchise on November 2nd, 2008 with a score of 88-85 versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. Kevin Durant led the team in scoring with 18 points in this defensive battle. The Thunder have started off their inaugural season at 1-2. With a big step up on the division by beating a rival wiht their first "W" of the year. History was made on this night now they can relax and focus on the future. They are a young team and didn't fair very well last year as the Swan Song version of the Seattle Super Sonics. But with Durant, Nick Collison, and Earl Watson, the core is built for the future and the Western Conference is wide open. The Ford Center in Oklahoma City will have a team to cheer for years to come and the fans are excited about their young nucleas of talent.
